APC Plateau Accuses PDP Of Using Military To Scuttle Democracy By Yakubu Busari,Jos
The All Progressives Congress ,APC , gubernatorial candidate ,Rt Hon Simon Lalong has fingered People Democratic Party ,PDP, of conniving with the military to scuttle the country democracy with the postponement of February election.
He made this disclosure in Jos while in an interview with some session of Journalists.
Lalong said the postponement of the February election is very unfortunate that the reasons for this postponement was a clear indictment to the military and the ruling party .
He expressed fear over plan from Nigerian Army to scuttle the country democracy for the security agencies to say that they cannot grantee the security of voters is so bad for the sovereignty of this country, we will not allow them to truncate the exercise.
Gubernatorial candidate described the plan of PDP government as a total abrasion to the constitution of Nigeria ,adding, “if the security are responsible for the cancellation that clearly indicate a failure on President Goodluck Jonathan government to protect lives and property of Nigerian.
According to him, as politicians we are not border about the postponement for now ,we will still continue to do our electioneering campaign in all the looks and canny of the state.
Barr Simon Lalong urged the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, to ensure that they conduct free ,fair and credible election in the country.
He said, people want change within this period I am concern a lot of things have gone wrong ,if they government will continue to extend its I don’t know when we are going to get ourselves through .
Lalong slammed the President Jonathan of not addressing the problem of missing Chibokgirls and the challenges of insurgency in North-east were many lives and properties were affected.
He explained further that those Chibok girls will be wondering and yearning for change in government but let wait and wait see whether PVCs is the main reason for the suspension.
APC gubernatorial candidate decried that PDP is taking us back to the issue of June 12 which I know that Nigerians are not ready to fight.
He appealed to all the supporters of APC in Plateau state to remain calm and be loyal and be loyal abiding citizens because are still hopeful of better thing ahead.
