Worried over the current political logjam in Nigerian politics, many politicians are busy plotting to dump the All Progressives Congress in Plateau State expressing bitter experiences as they will soon be out of business .

However, the fallout of Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang’s defection to the APC family has continued to generate serious political tension as some supporters are warming up to defect to the opposition Accord Party, as the next party by some top APC loyalists, as some has described the movement as a graveyard for them.

Ardent Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, members has also vowed to either remain or decamp to another political party owing to internal wrangling bedeviling their aspirations to vie for elective positions in the forthcoming election.

Few APC stakeholders in Plateau State Chapter are planning massive defection to the Accord Party, as they expressed dissatisfaction with the defection of Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang to the party, drawing widespread condemnation.

The APC National NWC had welcomed Governor Caleb Manasseh into their party, but some pundits are alleging that Mr. President breached the official procedures of the constitution and guidelines to welcome and accept a defected new member in the State.

However, the mass movement of Nigerian Governors into the APC was a result of crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over non-structure that affected the Plateau State in the aftermath of the 2023 general elections.

It would be recalled that the election tribunal judgment that sacked the duly elected Senators, House of Reps, and the State Assembly members, and was confirmed by the Appeal court, however, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang escaped through the election tribunal judgment when , the Supreme Court affirmed him as the winner of the gubernatorial seat ‘

As the 2027 general elections are approaching, the PDP platform has been characterized by factions from Wike, and Turaki, both pundits are laying claim to controlling the party’s Secretariat in Abuja.

This politics of bitterness, impunity, imposition of candidates, and hatred was carefully considered as the major backdrop of the ugly development facing the PDP, including betrayal in 2015.

However, when a political party developed godfatherism by jettisoning the zoning arrangement, it become the centre for political upheaval cheered by greedy jesters and selfish players.

With the recent defection record , the governor in APC remains a political orphan considering the Former Governor Jonah David Jang whose approval remain hanging in the balance .

Plateau State is currently under the politics of blackmail, religious, tribal, ethnic bigotry, and twisting the underground journey anchored by a few selfish journalists to gain relevance during Christmas and occasional period.
