A former ALGON chairman Hon Aminu Sani Gumel who was also the chairman of Gumel Local Government Jigawa state has emerged as the new All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman Jigawa state, he emerged as the winner during the party-state Congress held at Malam Aminu Kano Triangle Dutse today
Hon Aminu who became the party chairman by consensus and other party state executives emerged through the same style of consensus and was affirmed by the delegates during the congress.
Speaking at the congress the chairman electoral committee from the Party Headquarters, Abuja Alhaji Haruna Musa said, all the leaders emerged through consensus according to the party constitution and they remained duly elected by the congress affirmation.
The chairman election committee then expressed his satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the election
He also commended party leaders, stakeholders, and members for exhibiting maturity, obedience self-respect which made the congress peaceful and successful.
In his acceptance speeches, the newly elected chairman Hon Aminu Sani Gumel promised to work for the unity, progress, and success of the party in the election and other political matters in the nation.
He thanked Governor Badaru, and party leaders, as well as stakeholders and members for trusting him to lead the party and promised not to let them down.
Those elected during the congress include Nasiru Dahiru Jahun – State Deputy Chairman, Mannir Uba Gumel – Vice Chairman North, Isah Baba Buji – Vice Chairman Central and Abdullahi Ango – Vice Chairman East.
