Thousands of people believed to be APC supporters stormed Gumel foundation to hornor the new APC chairman Hon, Aminu Sani Gumel.
Hon, Aminu Sani Gumel a former chairman of Gumel local government who was recently elected as chairman of the party through consensus was honored by the good people of Gumel Emirate.
At the ceremony, top-ranking politicians from different parts of the state and businessmen and women from various states of the federation, and even people from the Niger Republic witnessed the occasion.
Among top-ranking politicians that graced the occasion include senator Danladi Sankara the senator representing Gumel Kazaure and Ringim Emirate and senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia a senator representing Jigawa northeast and other members from the National assembly.
Delivering his speech at the occasion senator Sankara called on the people of Gumel Emirates to give him all the necessary support as the new chairman of their great party to make sure the party regains power in 2023.
Also Habu Ahmed Maigatari the member representing Maigatari local government at Jigawa state House of Assembly advised the people in the state to continue supporting the party and the new chairman of the party.
In his remark senator, Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia who is also a traditional title holder of Shatiman Hadejia thanked the people of Gumel Emirates for honoring their son who happens to be the newly elected chairman of the party through consensus.
He also thanked Governor Badaru Abubakar for conducting a peaceful and credible election for the recent ward, local, and state congress which all was done in a good atmosphere of peace.
Also, the commissioner for works Alhaji Aminu Muhd Gumel said Jigawa is the only party in the country that conducted a free and fair Congress election in the country.
While the former deputy governor Alhaji Ahmed Mahamood Gumel charged the newly APC chairman to always be loyal to the leaders and advised the chairman to reconcile with all the aggrieved members within the party so as to move the party forward.
He explained it is only Jigawa state as a state in the country that constructed 1600 km roads in the country within a stipulated period of six years of APC government.
