The Aftermath Of The 2019 Imo Guber: N-APGA Joins PDP, Wants Ihedioha To Implement 20% Votes-Victory Agreement Initiated By Onyeagocha

Shortly aftermath of the 2019 Guber election exercise outcome that brought the Imo PDP candidate, Rt.Hon.Emeka Nkem Ihedioha,victory as the ImoGovElect,group of political merchants under the aegis of “New APGA”,( those allegedly denied their right) from Imo APGA during their primary elections exercise in the state,have from across the 27 LGA’s of Imo State,on Thursday,April 4th 2019,collectively decided to join the winning political party in the state,PDP,because of the announcement of Rt.Hon.Emeka Ihedioha, as the Imo GovElect by INEC.

 

The group who gathered in their large numbers at the Obinze LGA residence of one of the 2019 Imo APGA Guber Aspirants Hon.Barr.Uche Onyeagocha, last Thursday, April 4th, 2019, collectively told newsmen through their leaders that they are ready, willing and politically passionate to join the moving train of Imo PDP ably led by the leader, Rt.Hon.Ihedioha, because of his 2019 Imo Guber Victory as elected Governor of Imo State by INEC.

 

Speaking on behalf of the N-APGA, the National Secretary of N’APGA, Hon. Tobechi Chigbu said that the emergence of the PDP candidate, Ihedioha as the winner was because of the election support given to him by all the members of the N-APGA from across the 27 LGA’s of the state during the 2019 Guber polls in the state.

 

” We intentionally worked against the Imo APGA Guber candidate, Sen. Ifeanyi Araraume and clearly supported and voted for the PDP Guber candidate, Rt.Hon.Emeka Ihedioha because of the injustice we witnessed by the National leadership of APGA during the primaries.

 

We felt very humiliated by the undemocratic candidacy of Sen.Araraume.The primary elections held in.APGA was obviously marred with all forms of charters, scam, impunity, and impunity. So we decided to work against Araraume and APGA. We therefore chosen to deliver the Imo PDP candidate for the governorship because, we noticed that the leadership of PDP conducted the freest,fair and transparent party primary elections that brought in Ihedioha as their Guber candidate,and as we reached an agreement of 20% engagement on political involvement with the leadership of PDP in Imo State, and today, we are here to remind the Imo GovElect, Ihedioha of our political/electoral agreement with him as N-APGA during the last general polls in the state.

 

“As Imo N-APGA, we worked for the success of the Imo PDP Guber candidate. We rejected Araraume of APGA because of the injustice he played against the wishes of the party and adopted Ihedioha of PDP. We delivered PDP in the state through the electoral powers and contacts of N-APGA. We have no regret. Our decision at the polls was very much accepted. The meeting was to review our 20% agreement with PDP.  It is our collective efforts. We talking on how to reward N-APGA by the Rebuild Mission Govt. of Ihedioha. We have come to take a decision to become full political members of PDP in Imo State. The 27 LGA leaders of N-APGA have agreed to join PDP because of the victory of Ihedioha. Our leader, Hon.Barr.Uche Onyeagocha remains our National/State coordinator in N-APGA”, National Scribe submitted.

 

Adding his own voice, the leader of N-APGA in Imo State, Hon. Chief Eddy Odunze, who is also in charge of N-APGA in the diaspora, and the Coordinator of the political pressure group in the state, hails from Njaba LGA, expressed satisfaction with the victory of Emeka Ihedioha as Imo GovElect.

 

“We are here to chat a new political direction. And we have resolved to join and support Imo PDP from N-APGA because the party process that brought him victory as a candidate was free, fair and credible. It is good that the Owerri zone becomes Imo Governor, which is in accordance with the agitation of Hon. Onyeagocha”, he disclosed.

 

Chief Odunze, described Ihedioha as the best possible option and outcome from Owerri zone.

 

” Our expectations are in two folds: “on the side of N-APGA, let Ihedioha honor the 20% agreement reached with the leadership of N-APGA before the elections because we worked harder towards his victory. Ihedioha listens to Uche Onyeagocha because he took a suicidal mission during the last polls in the state.  Another expectation is on the masses (Imolites), the GovElect, Emeka should re-write the wrong history about the stereotype of the people of where he came from. He should not be re-active rather he should be pro-active to service and keep blueprints for positive legacies.Rt.Hon.Ihedioha should endeavor not to be reactive to approaches. He should fix the economy first as recognize that the gold standard of every nation/state/society is the economy”, Odunze advised.
