The Vice President Senator ,Kashim Shettima has Commissioned the largest lithium processing plant built in Endo Community of Nasarawa Local Government Area of the State.
The Vice President gave the disclosure at Endo mining giant,Diamond, New Energy company today Thursday.he said Nasarawa State is a mini Nigeria.
Shettima during his speech said solid minerals marks a new dawn of the economy to Nasarawa and the entire Country.
He said the Government is ready to lease the nation from the shackles of poverty through the development of the solid minerals.
The Executive Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government Area in his welcome address, Hon.Mahmuda Hassan welcome the august visitors ,the Vice President,Kashim Shettima and the State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule.
While the Hon Commissioner of Environment and Natural Resources,Hon.Magrete Itake Elayo described the commissioning as the largest as apt.
She expressed the gratitude of the good people of Nasarawa State,,she however added that the history of Nasarawa State would be written again
The Commissioner attested that the State Governor deserved commendation ,adding that sustainability will not compromise the future of our younger generation yet unborn.

This project comprises of Jiuling and Diamond New Energy,saying the Federal Government is doing everything possible to ensure an enviable partnership.
The Emir of Keffi,the Dr Shehu Chindo Yamusa who represented the Emir of Lafia,and Chairman of Nasarawa State Council of Chiefs in his speech said the commissioning of the lithium processing plant will not only bring prosperity to the State,adding that Governor Sule has written the name of Nasarawa State from artisanal mining State.
The APC Governorship candidate,Ahmed Aliyu Wadada welcome the vice president who represented President Bola Ahmed Tinu u said some persons must take the credit of the ongoing work in Nasarawa State.
Wadada said some members deserved accolade ,he commended the company for the commissioning making the Diamond New Energy,”Because of the natural endowment that was why I move a motion for the elevation of the Federal Polyteuchnic, Nasarawa to a full fledge University of Technology.
Senator Wadada hails kithium processing plant as milestone for Nasarawa’s Industrial growth, Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu has described the commissioning of the 6,000-metric-tonnes-per-day Diamond New Energy Lithium Processing Plant in Endo, Nasarawa Local Government Area.
Saying is a significant milestone in the state’s journey towards industrialization, value addition, and economic transformation.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Senator Wadada said the project demonstrates the immense potential of Nasarawa State’s solid minerals sector and aligns with his vision of unlocking that potential through his HEARTS Agenda. He reaffirmed his commitment to creating an investor-friendly environment, promoting responsible and sustainable mining, expanding value addition within the sector, creating quality employment opportunities, and ensuring that the state’s abundant mineral resources translate into inclusive economic growth and shared prosperity for all the people of Nasarawa State.
The Minister of Solid Minerals,Henry Alake applauded the vice president and Governor of Nassarawa State, Abdullahi Sule,he affirmed that Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada will take over from the current Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule.
According to him,Governor Abdullahi Sule is our unofficial Minister of Solid mineral ,is not sine Qua nuan while some countries of the world that are lacking of solid minerals but are in turmoil.
Saying human development is working in Nasarawa State, Nasarawa State continued to attract investors in Nasarawa State,adding that the commissioning of Diamond New Energy is a thing of joy.
Governor Abdullahi Sule said the investment had already created more than 1,000 direct jobs and over 2,000 indirect jobs, while urging more investors to take advantage of Nasarawa State’s abundant deposits of lithium, gold, zinc, copper, iron ore and other solid minerals.
He assured investors of a conducive business environment, noting that the state’s proximity to the Federal Capital Territory gives it a strategic advantage for industrial development.
Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, said the commissioning validates the Federal Government’s policy of promoting Local processing of minerals rather than exporting raw materials.
He reiterated that Nigeria would no longer encourage the export of unprocessed minerals, stressing that the policy is intended to create jobs, develop Local expertise and strengthen domestic manufacturing.Nigerian political analysis
Alake said the Government’s long-term target is to establish industries capable of producing lithium batteries, electric vehicles, solar panels and other products that rely on lithium.
Speaking on behalf of Diamond New Energy, the company behind the project, Ambassador Yu Chongqiang said the investment reflects confidence in Nigeria’s mining sector and the country’s potential to become a leader in mineral processing and clean energy development.Nigerian political analysis

Stating that the ministry of Solid Minerals will no longer give licence to miners without plans in the country.
