Omarana Calls for Unity, Urges Aggrieved ADC Members to Reconcile Ahead of 2027

Omar Suleiman, the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State, popularly known as Omarana, has appealed to aggrieved members of the party to put aside their differences, embrace reconciliation, and work together to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued following the party’s governorship primary election, Omarana acknowledged that the contest left some aspirants, supporters, and party faithful disappointed. However, he stressed that the primary election had ended and called on members to unite in pursuit of a common goal for the development of Adamawa State.

He commended all aspirants who participated in the primary, describing their sacrifices, ideas, and commitment as vital contributions that strengthened the democratic process within the party.

“I extend my hand of fellowship to every aspirant, every supporter, every stakeholder, and every faithful member of our great party,” Omarana said. “The primary election is behind us. What lies ahead is a greater mission—to build an Adamawa that works for everyone. We can only achieve this if we stand together as one family.”

The ADC flag bearer urged party leaders at all levels, including ward executives, youth and women groups, professionals, campaign volunteers, and grassroots supporters, to reject division and bitterness in favour of dialogue, forgiveness, and collective purpose.

According to him, political differences should not become permanent divisions, noting that while democracy encourages healthy competition, its success depends on unity after elections.

“Our strength is not in our differences but in our unity,” he said. “I appeal to everyone who may feel hurt or disappointed to return home. Let us work together, shoulder to shoulder, with one vision and one purpose. Adamawa deserves our collective effort.”

Omarana also reaffirmed his commitment to building an inclusive political movement where every member has a voice, every stakeholder is respected, and every contribution is valued.

He further called on party members to channel their energy toward strengthening the ADC across Adamawa State and presenting what he described as a credible alternative to the people in the 2027 elections.

“History rewards united movements. Let us forgive, reconcile, and march forward together. The future of Adamawa is bigger than any individual, and together we can make history,” he added.
