SSG’s Appointment Is One Appointment That Inspires Me-Governor Sule

Nasarawa State Governor, Engr.Abdullahi Alhaji.Sule has described the appointment of Ahmed Tijjani Aliyu as one of the key position that inspires him as a Governor of a State.

 

Sule hinted this during an interactive session at the State owned Radio and Television arm, Nasarawa Broadcasting Services, Lafia marking his 100 days in office.

 

Saying the appointment of the former Commissioner of education as the pioneer Secretary to the State Government is a well-deserved appointment.

 

Stating that he has no regret selecting Tijjani as the Secretary to the State Government, he maintained.

 

While fielding questions on the promise to complete Kwandare Cargo International airport, Lafia, Engr.Sule said the airport project, being one of the fourteen (14) point agenda, according to him, the airport project was not up to date, saying the 2.2 meters run-way is not up to standard.

 

He gave the assurance that his administration would do every possible best to ensure the extension of the Cargo International airport, Lafia so as to compete with other airports.

 

“We will work on the run-way while fencing of the premises would also commence in no distance time”.

 

In a telephone call by an indigene of the State asked on the position of the Nasarawa State Investment and Property Development Company (NIPDC).

 

The Governor averred that the resuscitation of NIPDC is the last straw that breaks the camel’s back, adding that the revival of the company is a herculean task considering litigations hanging.

 

On the issue of minimum wage, he said the State Government would not make a mistake of the past administration in 2011 where all cadre of civil servants were captured.

 

“We want to avoid the error whereby some top echelon civil servants use the opportunity to jerk up their salaries”.
