PEOPLE’S DEMOCRATIC PARTY, PLATEAU STATE CHAPTER 20/22, YAKUBU GOWON WAY JOS.

24 APRIL 2018

PRESS STATEMENTS

It has come to our notice that the All progressive congress ( APC) in Wase local government of plateau state has set in machinery in motion of miscreants, for the harassment and intimidation of our members to put fears into their minds ahead of 2019 General elections.

Their main reason for this harassment is to silence the People’s voice of reason against the misrule, mis-governance, selfish and corrupt leadership of the APC.

We are reliably informed that on Saturday the 21 April and Sunday the 22 April 2018 some members of the people’s Democratic Party (PDP) were attacked by some miscreants of the APC on their way back home after receiving some members of the All progressive congress (APC) into the people’s Democratic party in Lamba district of Wase local government. Among those that were attacked is the leader of the decampees from the APC Alhaji Salisu Jarman Kampanin Zurak.

The leadership of the party therefore condemned in strong terms this dastardly act while we call on the security agencies to watch the activities of the APC members, as a party, we will not allowed our members to be intimidated and harass by a political party that has failed the people.

We therefore urge our members to remain resolute and committed to the course of our party, as a responsible party that stands for the rule of law and also committed to Democratic values, we appeal to our members to remain calm not to take the laws into their hands.

Finally, we call on our members to always be on alert against these dictatorial tendencies of APC Leaders both at the state and the Local Government Level.
