Alton Presents Certificate Of Appreciation To NSCDC For Protecting  Telecommunications  Infrastructure

The Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria (ALTON) has presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa State Command, in recognition of the Command’s outstanding commitment, professionalism and unwavering support towards the protection of telecommunications infrastructure across the State.

The certificate, presented to the Command under the leadership of the State Commandant, Commandant Brah Samson Umoru, commended the NSCDC for its dedication and strong partnership with telecommunications operators in safeguarding critical national information infrastructure and ensuring the resilience and continuity of telecommunications services in Nasarawa State.

The certificate reads in part:

“This is in appreciation of your outstanding commitment, professionalism and unwavering support in the protection of telecommunications infrastructure across Nasarawa State.

Your dedication and strong partnership have played a vital role in safeguarding critical national information infrastructure and ensuring the resilience and continuity of telecommunications services.”

The recognition underscores the importance of sustained collaboration between security agencies and critical infrastructure operators in addressing threats such as vandalism, theft, sabotage and other activities capable of disrupting telecommunications services.

Receiving the recognition, the State Commandant, Commandant Brah Samson Umoru, appreciated ALTON for the gesture and reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with telecommunications operators and other relevant stakeholders.

He stated that the protection of telecommunications infrastructure remains a collective responsibility, stressing that the NSCDC will continue to deploy its personnel, intelligence capabilities and other operational resources towards protecting critical national assets and infrastructure across the State.

Commandant Brah further called for continuous information sharing and prompt reporting of suspicious activities around telecommunications facilities, noting that timely intelligence remains crucial to preventing attacks and ensuring uninterrupted communication services.

The Commandant assured telecommunications operators and other critical infrastructure stakeholders of the Command’s readiness to provide the necessary security support within its mandate, while urging them to maintain effective communication with the Corps for prompt response to emerging security concerns.

The NSCDC Nasarawa State Command views the recognition as an encouragement to sustain its professional service, inter-agency collaboration and commitment to the protection of critical national assets for the overall security and socio-economic development of Nasarawa State and Nigeria.
