NURTW Enjoin Motorists To Obey Traffic Order

The Chairman National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Alh Yashau Muhammad has admonished members of the union to shun overloading, wrong driving and over speeding during the Easter celebration to ensure that the exercise is hitch free one all in a bid to reduce motor accident.

 

Muhammad disclosed this to journalists on Wednesday in Jos, as he issued warning to all the  motorists plying the high way  to reduce over speeding, drive safe without drinking  any dangerous substance capable of causing accident on the road, “we are serious on those drive trying to overtake, overloading and wrong driving especially in this period.

 

Muhammad enjoined motorist plying high ways in the state to obey traffic order by respecting constituted authority as he expressed optimism that the current demolition of Jos Main market authority edifice is in line with government policy to develop the state.

 

According to him, he is satisfied with the demolition of NURTW bank situated inside the market to give space for the revamping of burnt down international Jos market which is one of the biggest in West Africa.

 

We are comfortable with Governor Simon Bako Lalong government because it is the only regime that came on board to promote peaceful coexistence amongst the diverse ethnic nationalities residence in Jos North LGA.

 

Muhammad disclosed that they have trained motorist on traffic law and order them to partner with security agencies while driving on highways during the Easter celebration because the safety of passengers is very paramount to the business of transportation.

 

“We have rules and regulations so we enjoin you drivers to be law abiding citizen, we warn you people   not to fight or exchange physical but to build harmony with the appropriate authority.

 

He applauded the Federal government for allowing NURTW to participate actively in the distribution of sensitive and none materials during the just concluded Presidential and national assembly, governorship election in Nigeria.
