Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule has sponsored no fewer than 217 teachers to improve their morale with the National Teachers Institute.
Mohammed Aliyu Ladan, The State coordinator of the programme gave the revelation at this year’s World Teachers Day Celebration held at Government Science Secondary School Lafia.
He maintained that the collaboration between the NTI and teachers was meant to improve teachers in their field of endeavor.
The Chairman of, the Association of Local Government of Nigeria who doubles as the Executive Chairman of Lafia Local Government, Hon. Aminu Muazu Maifata in his remarks commended teachers for doing commendable work.
The representative of Lafia L.G Chairman and the Secretary of Lafia, Hon. Mohammed Arabo confirmed that ALGON Chairman is in support of the transfer of teachers’ salaries to the Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board.
The State Head of Service, Bar Abigail Waya hailed teachers the world over for the education they gave to pupils.

This year’s celebration was ended with fanfare by teachers across the thirteen Local Governments of the State.
