The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong has called on the Muslim Ummah in the state to use the spiritual lessons learnt during the month of Ramadan for the betterment of humanity as enjoined by Prophet Mohammed (SAW).
The Director of Press and public affairs Mr Samuel Emmanuel Nanle made this known in a statement yesterday.
The Governor stated this in his Eid-el Fitri message to the entire Muslim ummah on the successful conclusion of the 30-days Ramadan fast and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitri festival.
He noted that Islam preaches peace and peaceful coexistence, hence it’s mandatory on all her adherents to work for peace and most essentials commit themselves to community vigilance that would aid security operatives’ fish-out all agents of boko haram and terrorists from the country.
Governor Lalong added that peace and good neighbourlessness is a commandment of the Holy Book, the virtues of which must have been restated in the lessons of the Ramadan for the good of society.
He also calls for special prayers on the nation’s leadership and all people in authority in order for the nation to witness the rapid transformation, they entire citizenry are looking forward to with the APC government.
The Governor while wishing all Muslim faithful a peaceful and memorable celebration restated the determination of his administration to pursue the peace and security of all the inhabitants of the state and to also bring development to the state.
He finally urged all to ensure obedience with law and order during the celebration particularly on the use of motor-cycle and for security consciousness in places of worship and areas of social engagements.
