Following the news publication that states that ” Imo NURTW stakeholders raise alarm over alleged extortion by Transport Adviser”, the leadership of the union has collectively debunked the publication making round that the Transport Adviser, to Governor Hope Uzodinma, Hon. Chief Kenneth Okafor, is extorting the union.
It has come to the notice of the union that the sponsors of the said newspaper publication are members of the opposition political parties in Imo State who do not want the growth of the union in particular and the state in general.
Reacting to the news report made in Announcer Newspaper, Nov.22nd, 2021, the Vice Chairman of Imo NURTW, Hon Comr. Chigozie Ohiri, aka Elegamface, has expressively stated that the sponsors of the news are members of the Imo Action Alliance, AA, who has vowed to frustrate the peace of the union and that of the state.
Hon. Ohiri, in his words, insisted that those who are parading themselves as stakeholders of the union are a faceless group who are not members of the union.
Elegamface, while speaking, disclosed that the real stakeholders of Imo NURTW have never had any media interaction with journalists, but regretted why a reputable newspaper like that would allow their media outfit to make such an unverified report without proper media investigation.
The Imo NURTW Vice Chairman, Hon.Ohiri, appealed to Imolites and members of the union to disregard such baseless, falsehood and unfounded reports from some group of disgruntled elements who hates the progress of the union and that of the Shared Prosperity Government.
Elegamface, while speaking urged Imolites and Nigerians to discard the news report that the Transport Adviser to Governor, Chief Kenneth Okafor, has turned the union into his money-making machine.
