“I am sincerely happy. We are just barely 2-3 weeks old in the corporation. The meeting was to access what is on ground and we are ready to improve the standard of the corporation. We shall basically provide affordable housing for the people of Imo State, especially the Civil Servants, Public Servants and the Masses in general”, he stated.

Okoli, said ” we met nothing in the corporation. There is nothing to write home about. No proper handover, no common paper documentation from the immediate past administration”.

The GM,while speaking, lamented bad leadership of Chief Rochas Okorocha, but called on the Imolites to remain patient with the new Imo govt. of the Rebuild Mission government.

He accused the govt.of Rochas of only having interest on land racketeering, speculation of lands for 8 years with wrong emphasis on land grabbing against the main aim and objective of the corporation, which according to the GM was to offer quality and affordable housing for the people of Imo State.

The Imo-Born Architect, while interacting with newsmen promised to recover all lands illegally and forcefully grabbed by the immediate past administration.

The GM,Okoli further restated that the corporation may step on toes towards securing the establishment Act.Edit No.14 of 1976,set up by the former Military Imo Governor, Rear Admiral Ndubusi Kalu,so that the people would rejoice.

Okoli, more so expressed optimism the corporation under his mandate shall create an ambient and enabling environment, where quality and affordable housing scheme would be made available to all.

The Corporation General Manager  Hon.Okoli,in his words, said “the Corporation under his watch shall recover all lost landed assets, even as he vowed to build over 5000 Housing Units for Imo people, which according to him can be achieved through successful partnership with International/National and some other Parastatals,Agencies (Federal Ministries) such as Family Home Scheme, the Federal Mortgage Bank, for social housing for the masses.

“I inherited a moribund corporation from Okorocha and his cohorts. Over N50m dept owed, over 30 litigations in courts against the corporation from some Imo people. We inherited empty treasury. Uncountable shady land deals by the immediate past administration. Lands were given to themselves freely to their relatives, friends”, Okoli revealed.

The Corporation Board Chairman, Hon.Nze Raymond Emeana, promised to assist Gov.Emeka Ihedioha,to succeed in his Rebuild Mission led administration.
