Hajj Test:  Intending Women Forfeit Trip

The State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has expressed concern over the failure of some intending female pilgrims to attend the ongoing pregnancy test meant for them that is to say their habit had already indicated forfeiting the trip.

A statement by the Information officer of the Board, Alhaji Muhammad Sani Yunusa, said the action is causing unnecessary delays in the operations of the board with regard to the successful conduct of the forthcoming Hajj.

According to the statement, over one hundred women out of the two thousand, eight hundred and forty two intending pilgrims who are to perform this year’s pilgrimage from the state, were yet to show up for the screening.

The statement gave the affected women intending pilgrims up to Tuesday to appear in Al-Amin Clinic along Nassarawa -Jahun road Bauchi, for the screening.

Meanwhile, the board in the statement has assured the intending pilgrims that it had concluded all necessary preparations for the successful conduct of this year’s this year Hajj exercise.

The statement called on the intending pilgrims to cooperate with the board in order to achieve the desired objective.
