NSUBEB Chairman Excited Over The Commitment Of 7 Years  Volunteer Teacher, Gives Her Automatic Employment

The Executive Chairman,of the  Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB) Dr Kassim Muhammed  Kassim has given an automatic employment to Mrs Umbugadu Rifkatu Solomon, an Eggon woman from Nasarawa Eggon Local Government who has been teaching at Pilot Science Primary School, Nasarawa Eggon.

Dr Kassim met her teaching at the Pilot Science Primary School during his unscheduled visit to the school to access the level of teaching and infrastructural development in the school.

To the surprise of the NSUBEB chairman, Mrs Umbugadu Rifkatu Solomon had all her lesson plan and lesson note intact and was conducting her teaching with high sense of dedication and seriousness, which made Dr Kassim to ask her if she is a permanent teacher, and was surprised to know that she is a volunteer teacher offering selfless services.

Dr Kassim immediately offered her an automatic employment with the board , commending her for her dedication in the service of the State.

Umbumgadu Rifkatu Solomon holds an NCE Certificate from the Collage of Education Akwanga and a Bachelor of Education from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.

Mrs Umbugadu in her response said Dr Kassim has taken an entire family out of poverty, noting that despite her educational qualifications, she has no job and her husband is also not working.

She explained that affording a two square meal a day for the children is a problem, not to talk about paying their school fees.

She applauded the Chairman for his kindness and promised to redouble her commitment to duty.
