Governor Sule Inaugurate Standing Committee To Revive Fishing Festival

Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule has set up a standing committee to revive fishing festival in the State.

The State Commissioner of Agriculture, Honorable Umar Dan’akano while inaugurating the standing committee to indulge in thorough work.

The Representative of Commissioner, The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Isa Mohammed the constitution of the standing committee was meant to tap some of the untapped potentials from fishing and farming activities.

The standing committee member comprises of the Honorable Commissioner Abubakar Umar Dan’Akano as the Chairman of Fishing Festival.

Other members are Mohammed Bashir Umar the State Chairman of Fishery Cooperative and Aquaculture serves as a member, and Abubakar Baba Awe, a Member.

Others are Usman Zakari Madaki, Sadeeq Abbas Abdul Osama representative of the Ministry of Finance, Oluma Abu Mohammed the State Director of Fishery, and Judah Attach a member.

Abdul Osama in a vote of thanks commended the State Governor, Engineer for finding them worthy to serve on the committee.

Osama who spoke on behalf of the committee members promised to redouble their commitment towards the realization of the task bestowed on them.
