The Political drama hitting the Plateau state House of Assembly and Governor Simon Lalong is becoming very interesting, interesting, as the Eighth Assembly prepares for battle over the seat of Majority Leader, Leader, Hon Daniel Jonathan Na’anlong position and the political followers are watching who will blink first.

Universalreportersng.com learnt that the All Progressives Congress, APC, Plateau state chapter stakeholders’  meeting described as a breach of party electoral law for the members to impeach the former Majority Leader, Hon Henry Yenkwap, adding that it was wrongly done without the Knowledge of leadership of the party.

Our sources disclosed that the party stalwarts are embarking on series of closed-door meetings over the entire impeachment exercise where the majority leader and speaker were impeached.

Some political pundits told this medium that the Governor showed his anger and dissatisfaction with the way and manner they took the drastic decision without duly consulting him before striking hard on his favourite Goemai brother as he believes that the absence of his brother will spell doom for him politically in the House.

However, the journey of  Governor Simon Lalong to 2019 can be considered turf mission if he continues to hold tight to his Goemai agenda which was the scenario that affected the former  Governor Jonah David Jang and the PDP in the 2015 general elections when he brought his kinsman, Late Sen. GNS Pwajok of his blessed memory.

Universalreportersng.com learnt that the House members in unanimous voices of members of the Eight Assembly said that they are ready to move forward and that any imposition of candidate would be vehemently resisted by the members who have now developed sympathy to the new Majority leader who is a member representing Mikang constituency.

It was clear that the legislature embarks on the legislative business of impeaching Member representing Shendam constituency at the eighth assembly and voted the recently impeached majority leader, as Majority leader in 2015 but thing went so bad when members who entrusted him to liaise between the House and executive arm turned the trust to a family business.

Meanwhile, this medium gathered that the Plateau House of Assembly has threatened to impeach the Governor in case he too insists that Hon Henry Yenkwap the sacked majority leader position must be reverse back, as they spoke in one voice that there is no more going back, adding that they are ready to perform their duty as elected members without fear or intimidation.

Our source revealed that the House said they have no business contacting the party secretariat before carrying out their function to the people of Plateau state, adding that he the Governor has his function to perform and that they also have theirs.

“We advise the stakeholders to allow democracy dividends to reach our electorates in rural areas where there are greater needs for it with the increase of poverty,” the House said.

Hon Henry Yenkwap remains sacked as majority leader and the House pass a vote of confidence on the new majority leader Hon Jonathan Daniel Na’anlong as they warn that if the party involves itself or any external body tries to interfere, that then those forces will be creating a political graveyard for the executive arm and APC family.
