The Deputy Senate President, Jibrin Barau, on Wednesday officially announced the defection of Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) during plenary at the Senate Chamber of the National Assembly in Abuja.
Barau read Senator Onawo’s letter of defection before members of the Red Chamber, formally notifying the Senate of his decision to join the APM.
Onawo, who recently joined the ADC from the PDP, defected to the APM after losing the party’s Governorship ticket in Nasarawa State to retired General Nuhu Angbazo. He now joins prominent politicians, including Seyi Makinde and Bala Mohammed, in the APM.
