Federal University Lafia Eulogizes Al-Makura, Names A Lecture Hall After Him

The management of the Federal University, Lafia Professor Sanusi Liman has appreciated the Nasarawa State governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura for the tremendous contributions he made in the development of the University.

The Vice chancellor eulogies the state governor for the provision of needed infrastructure that would enhance an enviable learning environment.

Liman disclosed this during the official commissioning of a twin lectures hall constructed by the University and named after the governor.

The string of success recorded according to the Vice Chancellor including the donation of the state secretariat which was the foundation of the institution.

Describing governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura as the beckon of education, stating that a lot was provided by the State government.

He listed some of the Interventions including the recent donation of state of the art new Comprehensive General Hospital to the University.

He however said the governor donated 260,000 hectares of land to the University; other donations are the guest for the institution, building of female hostel.

Other successes according to Professor Liman include the scholarship accorded 4 First Class graduates from including 1 physically impaired from Kogi state.

The state governor in his speech applauded the University management for recognizing his personality.

Promised to do more towards the development of the institution, the governor said the naming of the twin lectures hall after would remain a historical occasion.

Al-Makura expressed gratitude for the recognition, calling on the affluent in the state and the country to contribute immensely towards the development of Federal University Lafia.

The governor expressed delight over the pace of development ongoing in the institution under the incumbent Vice chancellor Sanusi Liman.

The governor promised to do more for the University to tackle.
