Governor Al-Makura Suspends Traditional Ruler Of Ugah
Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State has approved the exclusion of His Royal Highness, the Oron Akye, Abdullahi Magaji for three months.
The exclusion was contained in a press statement made available to universalreporters247.com by the Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Shegafarta and signed by the Honorable commissioner Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Haruna Iliya Osegba dated 22/11/2017.
Similarly the executive governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has directed the President Lafia East Development Area Traditional Council to oversee the domain of Oron Akye pending the expiration of the three months.
The statement further added that the exclusion followed an advice by the State Council of chiefs, adding that the approval was in line with the provision of legal notice NO. 5 of 2009.
The state government implored the people Of Ugah to embrace peace and avoid actions that will be inimical to disruption of peace in the land.
No reason was given for the action taken but competent source revealed that the monarch deposed a village head of Fadaman Bauna without a concrete reason to back up why he was dethroned
It further unveiled that despite interventions from highly placed and respected monarch include the Chairman councils of Chief, Dr.Isa Mustapha Agwai, the Emir of Lafia Oron Akye replaced the village head of Fadaman Bauna.
