Exposed: How IMA Poly Nasarawa Spent N123 Million On Newspapers And Magazines,  N70m On Printing Of Security Documents, N20 Million In 2023 For Burial Expenses

The 10 Member committee set up by the Governing Council of the Isa Mustapha Agwai l Polytechnic, Lafiia to investigate the activities of the management of the institution from 10th November 2021 to September 2023 has revealed that the management headed by the Rector Dr. Justina Anjiode Kotso spends a whooping N20,000,000m in 2023 as burial expenses.

It was also reported that IMA Polytechnic in the last three years spent N70,000,000m on the printing of security and non-security documents.

The investigative committee set up by the Governing Council described the huge amount as outrageous, the committee that submitted it report revealed that the amount is quite high which makes the whole exercise suspicious.

The report indicates that the printing of security documents was inflated by the management, Universal Reporters Online gathered that the embattled Rector, Justina Kotso contracted the printing of examination booklets and other sensitive documents to a prayer house in Jos Plateau State.

Other revelation by the report indicates that the management under the headship of Kotso expended a whooping N123,000,000m on newspapers, magazines, and periodicals as from 10th November 2021 to 30th September 2023.

It was further revealed that the Rector was involved in reckless spending of N95,000,000m expended on Local, travels and transport as principal officers and a few cronies of management, especially on duty tour within Lafia town or outside the station.

Also, there was an excess of total revenue of N5,473,454,147.11 from the total expenditure of N5,737,336,204.44 and this was caused by the deliberate act of the non-submission of Internally Generated Revenue from April 2023 to August  2023, That is four months IGR by the Head of Information Communication Technology, Jesse Kotso Ende.

The ten-member committee members with two Secretaries recommended that there should be a thorough investigation and those found wanting be culpable to make a refund of the amount.

The committee also discovered that the institution spends a total of N45,000,000m on water rate, especially in just one year, That is in 2023.
