Former Minister of Sports and Youth Development Hon. Damishi T. Sango emerged Plateau State PDP State Chairman.

Below are the official votes scored by the candidates during the PDP State Congress held at Treasure Inn Hall along Jonah Jang Road Jos, Plateau State?

  1. Hon. Damishi T. Sango – 758
  2. Hon. Bitrus B. Kaze – 222
  3. Hon. Phillip Aduku – 0.

Hon Damishi Sango after taken oath of office promised that People Democratic Party would bounced back to reclaim the Plateau state.

He eulogized Sen. Jeremiah Useni and Sen. Jonah David Jang for conducting hitch free state congress which produced him and other 25 state exco to run the affairs of the state.

According to him, the period of politicking is over, “we need to come together and join hands and reorganize grassroots politics because PDP did a lot in the development of Nigeria.

Sango said PDP is not dead on the Plateau but they only went on sabbatical leave, “so we are going to embark on true reconciliation.

Former Governor Jonah Jang said Plateau state is PDP state so the party will bounce back in 2019 because, “We are prepared to deliver the State.

He employed the people of Plateau state to continue to dialogue for the progress of the. State

Jang further stressedthat the team of new exco are grassroots politicians who are in touch with their supporters to crush the opposition come 2019 general elections.

Lt. General (Sen.) ,Jeremiah Timbut Useni expressed confidence in the ability of the new Chairman ,Hon Damishi Sango in moving the structure of the party to the next level.

Useni reminded those that left PDP to come back home and build the party rather than staying away and allowing others to benefit from it.
