Chief Magistrate Court 2 Issues Warrant Of Arrest Against Member House Of Reps Over Breach Of Thrust, Cheating

363The Honourable Judge of Chief Magistrate court 2, Lafia Yakubu Ishaku Eggah (Esq) has directed for the immediate apprehension of member House of representative, representing Awe,Doma Keana federal constituency, Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo ,In suit number CmcII/Crs51/2015 filed by Ali Garba Agbo of Lafia , the state capital.

The court issued out arrest warrant of the former speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly for refusing to appear in court following subsequent invitation, flouting court order, The counsel to the complainant Barrister Mohammed Ilegwu Usman averred that the defendant jump ship in spite of the service issued to him as directed by the court to serve the summon to his personal Assistant, Ahmed Dogara Egye.

Ilegwu pleaded the court to set aside the motion of service which he said the member House of representative was in receipt of as he directed his P.A to handle the situation, Agbo through his counsel affirmed that the said House of representative member sold out a revoked piece of land belonging to the state Government contravening breach of thrust.

Counsel to the complainant pray that the court set aside the former processes which he said was in tandem to the provisions of the law, All effort to speak to the counsel to the Honorable member ,Barrister Bala Yakubu hit brick walls as his mobile phone was not responding.

But the Honorable member in a telephone interview opined that he will appeal over the position of the court which pronounced his immediate arrest at a competent court of jurisdiction.

“I’m not aware of the revoked piece of land that i sold at a whooping N3m because as of this time the ministry of land and survey is yet to furnish me with a revoked letter of the said plot of land”, Said Ogoshi Onawo.

He further promise to paid back the N3m when the complainant handed over his Certificate Of Occupancy to him, saying Ali Garba Agbo have to withdraw his case from court (out of court settlement before payment).
