The Allied Peoples Movement elected its executive in Jigawa state yesterday where Alhaji Isah Muhammed Ringim through a consensus emerged as the state chairman of the party at the election which was held at NUJ Secretariat.
Alhaji Isah who was acting secretary of the party before was unanimously endorsed as the chairman of the party by members of the party through consensus.
Other members of the executive include Alhaji Yahaya Kuka who emerged as the vice chairman and Hajia Habibi Ibrahim the secretary of the party, respectively.
Ringim said the party is ever ready to participate in the next coming election in 2023 for the party to test its ability.
The chairman said APM is for women and youth to assist the young generation in the state.
He explained further that the party has its own structure in all the 577 political wards in the state in which it has a representative in all of the political constituencies in the state.
Adding that their plan is to remove women and youth from the objects of poverty because we want women and youth to contest for any political seat that they indicate their interest.
He explained that democracy is not yet mature in the country since there are no women in the gubernatorial race in Jigawa state.
