Aliyu Magatakarda Foundation Meets Requirements For Establishment Of Northwest Varsity In Sokoto

The Aliyu Magatakarda Foundation has met all the extant requirements for the establishment of a Premier pioneer private University in Sokoto, NorthWest University.
The Leader of the Foundarion, who also doubles as the Senator representing Sokoto North Senatorial District, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, had at a recent epoch-making ceremony held in Abuja, submitted all the documents to the National Universities Commission (NUC).
The documents were received by the Commission’s Executive Secretary, Professor Abubakar Rasheed, flanked by some top management staff of the Commission.
The documents included among others, evidence of payment of the Processing Fees, Academic Briefs, Master Plan, Environmental Impact Assessment, Subsoil Investigations Report and the Draft University Law.
Senator Wamakko was accompanied to the Commission by the Secretary/Legal Adviser (Planning & Implementation Committee), Barrister Bello Mohammed Goronyo and an Adviser, Malam Nasir Isa Wasagu.
With this giant leap by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Defence and Deputy Chairman, Senate Committee on Anti Corruption, the proposed University is expected to take off as soon as the NUC gives the final nod.
