Akpu community town in orumba south LGA of Anambra state has elected its new executives exco of Akpu progressive union (AKPU) charge them on transparency.
Elder Chibueze okoli who was declared the winner and the president general of the union APU community promised transparent leadership style .
The election witnessed massive turn out of sons and daughters of the community amidst tight security and the election which began with accreditation of eligible voters as early as 9 am, to 11am was described as the most peaceful exercise.
He lauded AKPU community for their peaceful conduct which is a sign orderly good manner.
Following the election those elected include; Nze Mike Udensi as 1st vice president, Fidelis Nwankwo 2nd vice president, Victor Okoliaku as 3rd vice president, Iheukwumere Titus okoli as sec Gen, Uchenna Nwafor as Assist sec, Rufus okeke as financial Secretary, ice Patrick oboji as Treasurer, innocent like,-I’ve,Pro,1, Okwudili Anakuna provost 1 and Emma Nwafor
Okoli called on his co- contestant to shield their sword and join hands in developing the community.
He appreciated the community for finding him worthy to serve them which had afford him the opportunity to rebrand AKPU for positive contributions in Nation building.
He pledged to use his wealth of experience to tackle the challenging facing the community which has to do with unemployment, land dispute and youth restiveness.
