Why I Delayed In Payment Of Salary Of Civil Servants In The State–Governor Al-Makura By Rabiu Omaku, Lafia

Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa state has attributed  the dwindling of federal allocation accrued  to the state, as the reason why he delayed in payment of salary to workers, the governor stated this today during this year’s worker’s day.

Al-Makura opined that the inconsistency in resource allocated to the state potent great peril to the current regime to employed more hands.

He asserted that the welfare of civil servants remain his utmost priority in the round of the new dispensation.

The governor commended workers in the state for their robust contribution to state building,He promised to construct housing units in the state aimed at  reducing hardship faced workers.

Other staff welfare also include furniture and car loan to civil servants in the state.

Al-Makura commended the Nigerian Labour Congress for her commitment in uniting workers in the state.

He also appealed to the striking judicial staff to return to work for the interest of the state, describing the present APC government as labour friendly regime.

“Our administration would open window to new employment oppurtunity for the working class”.
