Vice President NUJ Zone D Applauds Nasarawa Commissioner Of Police For Rejecting Bribe By Politicians During 2019 General Elections

The Vice President,Zone D of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Chief Wilson Bako has applauded the Commissioner of police, Nasarawa State Command, Bola Longe for Rejecting bribe lure him to compromised the 2019 election in Nasarawa State.

 

Bako affirmed this when Members of the Correspondent’s Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Nasarawa State Council paid him a courtesy visit at the State Command.

 

He further eulogies the up Commissioner for taking a holistic approach to curbed crime and criminality in the entire State.

 

Chief Wilson Bako called on the Commissioner to look into the activities of motorcycle riders popularly called as ‘going’ with a view to tackle the rising spate of crime and criminality perpetrated by okada riders over the years.

 

He however commended the Police for the harmonious

and mutual relationship between the Correspondent’s Chapel and police In the State.

 

The State Commissioner of police, Bola Longe appreciate the Correspondent’s Chapel for collaborating with police in the State.

 

He called on Journalists to be patriotic citizenry in safe guarding our democracy, stating that Nigerian police needed sophisticated weapons and communication gadget.

 

He appealed to Journalists in state to assist in fighting crimes at all nooks and crannies of the State.

 

“IF YOU SEE SOMETHING SAY SOMETHING”, Urging Journalists be vanguard of police.
