The Nasarawa State All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate and Senator representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District, Sen. Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, has commended the Nasarawa State Commissioner for Health, Dr Gaza D. Gwamna, for his commitment to humanitarian service and efforts to improve the welfare of the people through grassroots interventions.

Senator Wadada gave the commendation on recently in Nakuse, Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, during a medical outreach and the distribution of educational materials to schools organised by Dr Gaza through his foundation, the Dr Gaza Gwamna Helping Hands Foundation.

The senator praised Dr Gaza for using his position and privileges to make meaningful contributions to society, describing his humanitarian efforts as a demonstration of compassion and a commitment to improving human lives.

According to Wadada, individuals who occupy positions of responsibility should utilise the opportunities available to them to serve humanity and leave enduring legacies for future generations.

“You have done well,” the senator declared, commending Dr Gaza for his contributions towards improving healthcare delivery and supporting the educational needs of the community.

He urged public officeholders and other individuals in positions of influence to recognise the responsibility that comes with their privileges by using them to positively impact the lives of others.

“Wherever you find yourself with single, one, or multiple privileges, make sure you leverage on that privilege or on those privileges to leave a legacy,” Wadada advised.

The senator described the medical outreach and educational support as significant demonstrations of humanitarian service, noting that initiatives aimed at improving people’s lives represent meaningful contributions to society.

He also highlighted the deeper value of helping others, stressing that service to humanity goes beyond public recognition or appreciation and carries profound significance in itself.

In his remarks, Dr Gaza Gwamna explained that the humanitarian initiative was designed to complement the efforts of the Nasarawa State Government under the leadership of Governor Abdullahi A. Sule in strengthening healthcare delivery and improving the welfare of residents.

The commissioner noted that the medical outreach and distribution of educational materials to schools reflected his commitment to supporting the Governor’s development agenda through community-based interventions that address the needs of the people at the grassroots.

Dr Gaza also expressed appreciation to Senator Wadada for his presence, support and encouragement, noting that the senator’s recognition of the foundation’s humanitarian efforts would further inspire sustained interventions aimed at improving the lives of people in underserved communities.

The commissioner further assured Senator Wadada of the support of the people of Nakuse and, by extension, the entire Toto Local Government Area, as well as other APC candidates.
