Universalreporterss247.com has learnt that kidnappers are seriously disturbing people of Fagam, Basirka, and Galambi communities of Gwaram Local Government area of Jigawa State, a situation which has led to the kidnapping of Kijin village head and his brother who is also a ward head of the same area whom are nowhere to be found.
Sources closed to the families of the victims name withheld said early Tuesday morning people numbering about thirty 30 with dark clothes with their faces masked stormed their village and whisked away their traditional titles holders Malam Garba and his brother Malam Dauda .
While explaining further, the source said the kidnappers were vividly seen carrying dangerous weapons such as guns, dagger and cutlasses and majority wrapped their faces with Hiram cloth that look like jihadist and most of them were speaking English and Fufulde language.
It was reliably gathered that the village head Malam Garba Mamuda and his brother who is the ward head Malam Dauda Mamuda are no were to be traced because all effort to locate them by people and security in the area has become effortless.
It would recalled that kidnappings activities in Gwaram area has become every day activities previously and now the situation now is worst due to security lapses in the area, it has been reported that about two month ago police paraded six people suspected to be members of the kidnapping groups from Gwaram area who mostly are Fulani.
This medium learnt that the recent kidnapping which involves the village head and his ward head indicates that the situation and issues of kidnapping is increasing instead of reducing.
One traditional title holder name withheld who spoke to our correspondent under intensive pressure said leaders and business groups in the area are now sleeping with one eye open due to persistence attack to people in the area by kidnappers.
He appealed to Jigawa state government and Police to come to their rescues by providing enough security to protect their lives and properties because the issue has become worse as he also said several people from Fagam ,Galambi and Basirka communities has been kidnapped and yet their families did not hear from them.
He advised the police command to enforce more security officials at those area mentioned within Gwaram Basirka exit to arrest the menace of security threats in the area.
When contacted the spokesman of the command SP Audu Jinjiri on the matter said the police had received the report and immediately they received the signal the commissioner sent its officials to the scene including the DPO in charge of the area.
Jinjiri said they have already taken actions on the matter, as he appealed to the general public that anybody has the report on the suspect should please kindly informed the police.
