Nasarawa Polytechnic To Increase School Fees By 20%, Other State Owned Institutions To Follow

Universalreporters247.com has learnt that the management of Nasarawa State Polytechnic Lafia will soon increase the students’ school fees by 20%, a source from the Nasarawa State Polytechnic, Lafia told this medium there is move by the institution to hike her school fees by 20%.

An insider said the twenty percentage increase according to our feelers revealed was to generate Internally Generated Revenue to the institution, but concerned authorities from the Polytechnic remains mute.

It was gathered that newly admitted students that had finished their registration would be compelled to pay the 20% hike before the beginning of academic session.

The rector Dr.Silas Gyar could not response to a call by universalreporters247.com at the time of filling  this report ,also the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Muktar Wakeel could not be reached as at press time.

Feelers revealed that the twenty percent Increase in tuition fee maybe extended to other higher institutions like the College of Agriculture, Lafia, College of Education, Akwanga.

Others to be affected are School of Health Technology, Keffi and School of Nursing .

The state commissioner of education, Ramatu Ajuji Abubakar could not comment on the increase as she declined comment.
