Tarok Concern Youths Accuses Langtang North Chairman, Amos Kparnim Of Reckless Spending Of Council Fund, Refusal To Obey Court Judgement

The Tarok Concerned Youth on Wednesday accused the Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Area of reckless spending of the council fund thereby creating underdevelopment in Langtang North LGA.
In a press statement issued by Comrade Manasseh Nimkur the National President and Sunday Durshin Lafat the Secretary of Tarok Concern Youths for Justice and Good Governance, it said; “We still believe strongly that there are men of integrity whose conscience is the highest authority in the Plateau State judiciary. “
“Hon Kparnim, You, lost Election at the tribunal. Where Ubandoma lost at the lower tribunal but won at the Appeal tribunal which by law remains the final adjudicating body or apex court as regards local government elections petition in Plateau State.
It is said that the judiciary is the last hope of the common man. However, some very recent decisions of the election petition tribunal with due respect questioned that nobility, honorability the courts are known for.
“Our kind plea is to our father, the Executive Governor of Plateau State Rt. Hon. (Barr) Simon Bako Lalong, a quintessential Barr. man, a grassroots emancipator and a large-hearted democrat to prevail on Hon. Nanlok Amos Kparnim and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to accept the decision of the Plateau State Election Petition Appeal Tribunal which is the final adjudicating body or apex court was regards local government elections in Plateau State, delivered on l9th July 2019 which declared and returned Ubandoma Joshua Laven as the duly elected chairman of Langtang North Local Government Council by taking on the path of honour in discontinuing the proceedings instituted at the high court of justice Jos.
“This is because election is only a medium; political party an emblem and; politics a means to an end for the common good of all and not for personal an aggrandizement.
“We salute the good people of Langtang North Local Government Council for keeping the peace and not taking the law into their hands in this difficult time”.
The Taroh Concern Youths for Justice and Good Governance is an active group at grassroots mobilizers coming from different backgrounds with the sole aim of empowering ordinary men and women with information to demand accountability from the leaders they have chosen to drive their society.
Langtang North LGC is not new to political upheaval or crisis which is mostly caused by Jos, by successive administrations.
The last local government election of 10th October 2018 comes fresh to mind. Despite taking a long time to conduct the Local government elections thus denying people at the grassroots the opportunity and democratic rights to choose their leaders, one would wonder why the Lalong administration is away choosing the ignoble path of democratic perdition.
The Taroh Concern Youths for Justice and Good Governance recall how we massively mobilize people to come out and exercise their franchise in the last Local Government election which many have described as a democratic tape and disgrace. More worryingly the fact that some contestants at the elections who lost out heard their names announced as winners in Jos, the state capital.
The last local government election was the height of theft, shame and injustice of the Lalong led APC administration in Plateau State; history would always be unfair to Governor Simon Bako Lalong.
It is no news that Ubandoma Joshua Laven who contested for the chairmanship of Langtang North LGC on the platform of Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) and was alleged to have lost but felt that justice was not served, challenged the result of the election at the tribunal.
In an effort by our medium to balance a press conference held in Late Chief Solomon Daushep Lar, the Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Council, Hon Nanloh Amos Kparnim insulted a journalist as fools and ignorant people.
In a telephone call to Amos, Nanloh Kparnim lost control of his temper and he started to reign verbal insults while cursing media by threatening them.
