A suicide bomb attack today rocked the Kasuwa Shanu Market in Maiduguri, Borno State, the bomber also killed itself.
The incident happened around 8:30 am this morning, as the second suspect was caught by residents of the area when they were alerted.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Police Force, Borno State Command Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) team who exploded the unexploded improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in the area said the suspect is currently under security interrogation.
According PRNIGERIA, a spokesperson of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), North-East with an office in Maiduguri Abdulkadir Ibrahim confirmed the incident saying that “Emegency workers were immediately drafted to scene at Kasuwar Shanu, a market in Maiduguri where cattle and other domestic animals are sold.”
