Stakeholders Laud Governor Sule for Immortalizing Late Gov Aliyu Akwe Doma, As He Named Multi-Billion Naira Banquet Hall After Him

Honorable Member Representing Doma North constituency, Salihu Musa Iyimoga (ZLP) said immortalization of former Governor of Nasarawa State, Aliyu Akwe Doma signifies a quality leader whose mainstay is to unite the populace.

 

The lawmaker explained that the naming of the Banquet Hall after the late governor is worthy of commendation, he described Governor Abdullahi Sule as a pragmatic, purposeful, and exemplary leader.

 

He stated this during an exclusive interview with selected Journalists at his abode in Dadinkowa Doma.

 

He called on the people of Doma to shower encomium on Governor Sule for recognizing their son.

 

“Very soon I will mobilize youths from Doma to pay the Governor a courtesy visit, to applaud him for the steps he took to recognize the people of Doma and Alago nation”.

 

The executive Chairman of Doma Local Government, Honorable  Rabo Sani also speaking commended the Chief executive of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi Alhaji. Sule for immortalizing the second civilian Governor of the State, Late Aliyu Akwe Doma.

 

The Chairman disclosed this in an exclusive interview during the official commissioning of the multi-million naira Banquet hall at Government House Lafia marking this year’s democracy day.

 

He also called on the people of Nasarawa State to support the laudable effort of Engr. Sule for the completion of the project conceived by late Akwe Doma.

 

He also drummed support from all and sundry especially the people of Doma for considering the immense contributions of his predecessors in building a virile Nasarawa State.

 

Rabo Sani said the commissioning of the new Presidential Lodge initiated by the immediate past Governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura was at the right footing.

 

He averred that the completion of all projects conceived by past leaders in the State is a clear trajectory of a focused Governor that deserved a second term.

 

Commending Nigerians for a hitch-free democracy day, The Vice-Chancellor of the Nasarawa State University Keffi, Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed who revealed that the Governor was on a rescue mission to salvage the education sector.

 

Saying the current administration under Engr. Abdullahi Sule has expended N20m for the take-off of the new faculty of Engineering situated at Gudi in Akwanga Local Government.

 

He also appealed to Governor Sule to accord topmost priority to the education sector.

M.T.Kidas of the Federal University of Lafia urging him to accord impetus to solid mineral exploration considering the quantum of untapped natural resources in the State.

 

“We want Nasarawa State under your amiable administration to compete with Lagos State”.

 

Top politicians in the State including Members of the National Assembly, the likes of the first democratically elected Governor of the State and current senators, Abdullahi Adamu and Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.

 

Others are senator Godiya Akwashiki (APC) representing Nasarawa North, Members of the House of Representatives from both the ruling APC and the opposition party grace the occasion.
