The chairman of Shendam Local Government council, Hon Nicholas Kemi Nshe has boosted transportation in the area council with new buses and tricycles as employment opportunity to youth.
Nshe said the purchase of the vehicles and tricycles is in line with the 10 point agenda and 3 pillar policy of the redemption government of governor Jonah David Jang ob women and youth empowerment through capacity building for economic and social development.
He said, as part of effort to ease the hardship been faced by the people, he will reinvigorate the Shendam express service limited which will consist of inter and intra state journeys.
The council boss announced that so far ,he has received 7 Toyota Hiace Buses,3 Toyota corolla,2 Hilux double-cabin and Tricycles popularly known as Keke NAPEP ; stressing that 3 Toyota Hiace buses and 8 tricycles are being expected .
On his part, an Aide to the Plateau state Governor, Isaac Aliyu commended Nicholas Nshe for procuring the vehicles and tricycles, added that it will go a long way in reducing the rate of unemployment in the locality
