The Secretary to the Government of Plateau State ,(SGS) ,Arc.Nanchang Samuel Jatau has sued for peaceful coexistence amongst the diverse tribes , religious,, and community leaders to imbibe the spirit of tolerance and shun any social verses capable of dividing us as a people.
Jatau stated during the celebration of Professor /Mrs Mary Lar as son of day at the Headquarters of COCIN on Sunday in Jos .
He said ,the Governor Mutfwang in his message to the congregation during the live church service urged Nigerian to give more attention to the training of girl child for better future .
Nanchang Jatau explained that we are witnesses to what Mama did in her life , she broke every barrier of a girl child from a classroom teacher to academia a world-renowned professor of high repute,Ambassador.
According to him ,the life and time of Professor Mrs Mary Lar have impacted humanity a lot to humanity and God has given her long life as I’m also her son . Today, Mama is 90 years old and we all assembled in honour of her beloved mother’s contributions to society.
We are all very excited and happy to celebrate one of our own,and we wish her many more years ahead to enjoy her wealth of knowledge.
Arc .Nanchang , the challenges of Plateau state are a lack of unity, and we are always divided along tribal and religious lines because these are our biggest enemies.
He pointed out that you see the persistent banditry and terrorism we are facing are a result of our division, which triggers the crisis that we are facing.
Jatau stated that when the people of Plateau state unite and stand stronger, nobody can break us .The only way we can grow stronger and protect our heritage is through unity. We must come together and support each other for a better Plateau.
