The Plateau State Government has disclosed that the monthly allocations from the Federation Account go to Debts Services of the immediate past regime forcing Mutfwang to battle on how to pay outstanding debt of N250 million every month for the loan obtained by the Former Governor Simon Lalong regime while in office claiming to complete some projects.
The Secretary to State Government disclosed that Plateau State Government still remitting the outstanding N250 million as debt to pay every month after all the money accrual to it from the monthly allocations from the Federation account is deducted in the services of loans left by past administration.
Arc. Samuel Nanchang Jatau made this disclosure at Rayfield, on Friday in Jos South LGA while in the audience with the media.
According to him, the reason for the lack of money that slows down the pace of completion of ongoing projects plans to carry by Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s led administration is due to the huge amount taken by the bank.
He further stated that they are trying their best to block all loopholes so that money will be available for executing many projects in the state.
Nanchang Jatau added that the state Government generated not less than 3 billion every month from internally generated revenue following the blocking of loopholes in the area of revenue generation.
Concerning the cushioning of the suffering of the masses in the State, Arc. Jatau disclosed that apart from the fertilizers that have been distributed to farmers, more than two hundred and fifty bags of more fertilizers are still expected for onward distribution to farmers in the state.
He further disclosed that the time is now administration, under the able leadership of Governor Caleb Mutfwang has conclude its plan to procure solar driving tricycles for the Jos Bukuru Metropolis.
