The senate President David Mark has called on the people of North Central Nigeria to give their overwhelming votes to President Goodluck Jonathan in the February presidential election.
He made this known during the People Democratic Party, Plateau state chapter official flag-off campaign for the 2015 general elections, at Mangu mini Stadium.
Mark pointed out that the people of North-central are peace loving citizens so  no one should deceive us to embark on  violence during electioneering campaign ,we don’t have the  nature of this type of  wicked mind, so we should never allow ourselves to be used by desperate politicians .
He called on the youth to ensure they use their voting power to vote for Gov, Jonah Jang, General Jeremiah Useni and Sen. Joshua Dariye .
Mark tasked on the good people of plateau state to go and obtain their voters card; I want you to go from house to house and campaign for PDP, the Senate President said.
The Senate President assured supporters   of landslide victory, adding further he said; “we are going to win this election with transparent votes.”
He appealed to the youth to actively participate in the transition and development of Nigeria as he also challenged them to take their destiny in their hands.
The Chairman North Governors Forum, Dr Babangida Aliyu said they want see President Goodluck Jonathan continue with what he has started.
We cannot allow desperate politicians to take over power because those who left to APC are selfish politicians, they didn’t have concern for the people at the grassroots.
Governor Aliyu slammed the opposition for steering up violence causing unnecessary crisis calling the electorates to vote for the winning party.

He described politicians who cannot deliver their polling units as city politicians who have disconnected themselves from the people at the grassroots level and that they cannot count them as grassroots’ politicians.  Aliyu lamented that those who want to deceive us to believe their lies and their cheap blackmail should learn to be good politicians.
