Senator Ekenma Moves More Development To Ezi-Obodo Community In Owerri West Via Rotary International Club

Last Sunday, May 31th 2020, the entire people of Ezi-Obodo Autonomous Community in Owerri West Local Govt. Area of Imo State, were agog as one of their highly trusted and respected illustrious sons, Hon.Comr.Rotrn.Promise Ekenma, (Senator) in his usual magnanimity commissioned a gigantic newly built bore hole water project in the area.
The Rotary Club of Owerri Central District Grand, DG 20-004 Water Project at Ezi-Obodo Community Health Center was powered by the club’s leadership and management as part of Rotary’s responsibilities for service to humanity and community development but was attracted by Rotrn.Senator Ekenma.
However, the successful commissioning of the Water Project by Rotary District 9142 Grant 2019-2020, pushed the entire Ezi-Obodo Community into a lasting jubilations as so many of them (villagers) commended the leadership of the Rotary Club International for their kind gesture even as they (community) requested for more dividends of development from the club.
Speaking, some of the community leaders who spoke commendation of the Club, eulogized the leadership of the Rotarians in Imo State and those in Owerri Central District for their developmental assistance, and called on the club to do more for there community.
In his words, cross bearer of the Water Project, Rotrn.Promise Ekenma, aka Senator, expressed satisfaction on the bore hole sanked for his people, but adviser the user of the Water Project to make use of the facilities very carefully and judiciously.
Senator Ekenma, therefore assured the people of Ezi-Obodo, Ezi-Okele, Ihiagwa, Emeabiam and some other communities in Owerri West of future dividends of democracy, as he expressed optimisms that some other projects will be coming to them from the club in no distant time.
“The only thing you owe our club is prayer for us to succeed. We have come to improve your lives and we are ready to support the govt.of the day at all times. At Rotary Club, we are poised to better the lives of the masses”, Senator submitted.
