The former Plateau State Governor, Senator Dr. Joshua Chibi Dariye, has extended his warm felicitations to the Muslim faithful on the joyous occasion of Eid-El-Adna, calling on adherents to rededicate themselves to the practice of their religion.
The Former Governor Dariye made this known in a statement in Jos.
According to a congratulatory message, Senator Dariye implored the Muslim Ummah to see the occasion as a moment of humility, sacrifice, devotion and generosity as exemplified by prophet Ibrahim.
Senator Dariye urged adherents to use the occasion to pray for the success of the “Renewed Hope Agenda” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu aimed at setting Nigeria on the path of economic recovery and rapid development.
” I call on the Muslim Ummah to see the occasion as an opportunity to support the present administration through their prayers as it strives to make life better for citizens”.
The former Governor used the opportunity to call on those currently embarking on Hajj in the holy land of Saudi Arabia to pray for the leadership of the country at all levels in their bid to better the lives of citizens.
While acknowledging the significance of the occasion, the former governor commended Nigerians for their unwavering commitment, goodwill, support and prayers and for working assiduously towards nation building.
Senator Dariye encouraged citizens to embrace unity, love and peaceful coexistence and urged them to imbibe the spirit of generosity and humility while celebrating with people of other faiths.
On behalf of his family, friends and political associates, Senator Dariye wished the Muslim faithful a memorable celebration filled with joy and happiness.
