Why I resigned – Bauchi SIEC Chairman, Kundak

The Executive Chairman of the Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission SIEC Alhaji Abdulmumini Mohammed Kundak has explained why he resigned from his Position to pursue his personal activities privately towards the socio economic development of the State and the country at large.

Kundak stated this yesterday while answering question from newsmen after he met with the State Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar.

He said it’s not rumors I have resigned last friday and I have paid one month Salary in lieu of notice at the State Treasury and obtained receipt.

Kundak said there meeting with the Governor was in the best interest of the State ,” I asked for his forgiveness and I promise to remain loyal and dedicated and always show my respect to the constituted authorities.”

He thank the people of the State, The present and former Governors of Bauchi State Ahmed Mu’azu and Mallam Isa Yuguda for giving him the opportunities to serve the State in different capacities and contributed his quota towards the development of the State.

He however called on Nigerians to continue praying for leaders at all levels to succeed in their governance.

Kundak was a former deputy Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly between 1999 to 2007, he served as Political adviser to former Governor Isa Yuguda he was also appointed as Chairman SIEC by Yuguda and his tenure will expired in November 2017 but he cut it short after he tendered his resignation letter last Friday.
