Real APC Loyalists Want Me To Succeed Nana As Chairman in Bauchi, Says Kundak

As the battle over who will become the next Chairman, Bauchi State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Honorable Andulmumimi Muhammad Kundak who was the former deputy speaker of Bauchi State House of Assembly disclosed that there are numerous calls from party faithful on him to aspire for the position in the forthcoming State Congresses.

 

Kundak who made this known in an interview with newsmen in Bauchi on Wednesday said there were agitations by some APC Loyalists for him to replace the current occupier of the position, Alhaji Uba Ahmad Nana.

 

“It is not a matter of speculation, but rather a several clarion calls on me to serve as the next Chairman of our great party in Bauchi by real and active APC Loyalists through Print and Electronic Media”, he said.

 

Honorable Kundak who said that the calls have indicated that he has been tested and trusted by the party faithful, said most of them are of the view that if elected as the Chairman, he will lead the party to a good outing in 2023 and beyond.

 

“Those making the calls are fully aware of my antecedents in leadership as exhibited in the past, they have confidence in me as somebody with vision and a lot of progressive initiatives who will create an equal and an enabling environment for all”, he said.

 

Kundak said he is being motivated to contest for the position of the state chairman of the APC in order to reposition the party and maximize his contribution towards improving the living standard of the people of Bauchi state.

 

“Otherwise, having participated in several regimes since 19991, I wouldn’t have bothered myself, but for the absolute confidence reposed in me by my people due to my past record, I feel I shouldn’t disappoint them”, he added.

 

According to him, if elected, to the Office, he will ensure that together with other state Exco, justice, unity, and equity prevails in the party practically and not on paper.

 

On insecurity, Kundak who described it as a serious challenge to the Socioeconomic Development of the Country decried that it is causing a major setback for governance.

 

He, however, expressed optimism that the current security challenges bedeviling the country will certainly become a thing of the past when Nigerians become patriotic and collectively seek divine intervention through prayers.
