As part of drawing members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Imo State to the Almighty God, the State Chairman of the union, Senior Apostle Sam Udeh (Ezeumuokorobia) has given credence to the sermon rendered by the former Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria,CAN, Imo State Chapter, ArchBishop General Apostle, Godson Ibeji.
The notable clergy in the state, while preaching, poured out words of God on repentance, unity, peace and progress amongst Men-on-Wheels in the state.
Spreading the gospel of Christ, the Man of God ceased the opportunity on
Thursday, March 31st 2022 at the Union Council Secretariat Owerri, where he appealed to unionists to trust only in the name of God.
He earlier described most members of the union in Nigeria and in Imo in particular as group of people who obviously believes in fetishness.
Members of the union who were in attendance expressed satisfaction for the words of exaltations from the former Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Imo State, Archbishop Apostle Godson Ibeji, of the External Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim Owerri, Imo State.
Furthermore, the Cleric, Most Senior Apostle Ibeji, while speaking to the audience (union members) at the meeting, preached on unity, peace and progress.
He charged all the members of the union to always embrace God through Christ Jesus as Christians, added that those who believes in fetishness will never last on earth but encouraged them to shun the application or practice of any form of charm.
The Man-of-God, Archbishop Godson, rekindled the feeble mindsets of some union members, and through his spiritual food of thoughts equipped their hearts in Christ
He even cited the Holy Bible from the book of Psalms 133:1, which read:” Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity”.
The clergyman, stated the above assertion on their alleged fetish life styles during the union’s (March) 2022 State Council Meeting, SCM, that usually held every last Thursday of the month.
At the meeting, leaders and critical stakeholders of the union in Imo especially Chairmen, Secretaries and Treasurers of the units in the state.
Continuing, the ArchBishop Ibeji, gave his words of encouragement and religious discourse on moral matters for the general interests of the union, but above all, called for the love of one another.
The Man-of-God said, “In my next invitation/coming, I want to hear multiple testimonies that you all have repented, changed for good. I will be happy and excited to hear also that you have jettisoned all practices of fetishness in your lives”.
He divinely prayed God to enlarge the coasts of all the members of the union.
Adding his voice, the Abuja Liaison Officer of NURTW, Comr. C.C. Kpaluka, expressed satisfaction to witness the sermon rendered by the man of God, but strictly argued that members of the union are not fetish, even as he disclosed that they are happy with the preaching of unity and repentance from the cleric.
He lauded the Clergyman for pouring out words of wisdom and understanding unto the lives of many present at the meeting.
The NURTW Liaison Officer hinted, “It is a word of reminder for all to be steadfast in Christ.
Kpaluka, therefore insisted that, ” We don’t go to juju. We can physically fight one-on-one (engage on protests) as members of the Organized Labour Union. But no member of Imo NURTW goes to juju. We are not fetish and we can bare charms”.
He therefore echoed on the union’s slogan, which states “Turn by Turn”.
Responding, the Imo NURTW State Chairman, Apostle Sam Udeh, appreciated the ArchBishop Ibeji for honouring their gospel invitation.
Udeh, moreso, assured that the gospel of God must continue to strive in the union under his watch.
“We are all Christians, and we must all dwell in secret places of the Most High God because he is the giver of wealth and life”, Udeh vowed.
