Jigawa State Contributory Health Insurance Management Agency (JICHIMA) has vowed to ensure effective service delivery to over 250,000 registered beneficiaries.
The Executive Secretary of JICHIMA Dr Nura Muhd Ibrahim stated this while speaking at meeting with stakeholders for Information Dissemination on the activities of the Agency.
He said, the Agency has been working in collaboration with all gatekeepers and partners in the implementation of the policy aims at strength public healthcare service delivery.
Dr Nura noted that, over 40,000 people were registered for non-formal sector insurance ( Basic Primary Healthcare Funds) and more than 90% of them received their ID card and started enjoying the services .
” We are currently working to enroll more beneficiaries of BHCF as over 270 health facilities both public and private accredited for the services across the state”
The Secretary added that, more than 200,000 were captured for formal sector and the services are provided to them.
Dr Nura noted that, some gaps were identified in the scheme such as delay in attending patients, shortage of manpower, referral process and drugs supply among others.
He then assured all the subscribers quality and effective service, also urged them to chenal any complain or observation to appropriate authority for the success of the program.
