Niger Delta Volunteer Force Visits NURTW State Boss, Udeh

On Wednesday, March 30th 2022, with their happiness and joyous hearts numbering over 100 persons were some members and leaders of a youth pressure group known as ”Niger Delta Volunteer Force, NDVF,” collectively paid a warm courtesy/ familiarization visit to the leadership of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Imo State under the Chairmanship of   Hon.Comr.Sam Udeh (Ezeumuokorobia) at his Owerri office.

The NDVF Chairman, Comr. Ben Akaeru, aka General Carlos, in his words, expressed gladness to interface with the current leadership of Imo NURTW under Comr.Udeh, and his members, even as he commended the present styles and modus-operandi of the union in the state.

General Carlos, who was the first set of citizens of Imo State Presidential Amnesty Programme that surrendered their arms during the previous administration in Imo, revealed that the union now wears new look in character by maintaining sanity and decorum on the road as users of the roads.

The Chairman of the Group, Akaeru, who is also the Chief Security Officer,CSO, to the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth Affairs,  however, described MDVF as a formidable organization that have chosen to partner with.

“We have promised to synergize effectively with the union for rapid development and cordial relationship so as to advance the state as progress youths”, NDVF Chairman hinted.

Akaeru, in who poured encomiums on the State Chairman of NURTW in Imo, described him as a father of all fathers.

“Infact for your kind gestures towards the growth of the youths in Imo State have displayed that ‘You are a fatherly concerned father’,  Akaeru echoed.

Adding his voice,  the Oguta LGA Coordinator of NDVF, Comr. Sir. Alexander Isiodu, expressed delight to witness what he described as an open door policy upon their visit to the Imo NURTW State Secretariat courtesy of the leadership of the Union Chairman, whose giant strides were loudly extolled.

According to Isiodu, ” We have seen so many persons who served as the State Chairman of Imo NURTW in the past, we never visited any of them, but we have seen your capacity, sagacity and leadership prowess, that was the reason we decided to come to pay a familiarization visit to you;

NDVF as a group of organized youth platform has selected Imo NURTW as partners in progress. We shall work together for the interests of the state and we are ever willing and passionate to add values positively by providing peace, unity and progress”, Isiodu maintained.

“Mr.Chairman, you are fondly called and addressed as ‘Ezeumuokorobia’ which simply means that you are the ‘King of the Youths’. We have seen it and we have confirmed that it is true. There is no dispute and as such, we are have collectively adopted you as our father general. Please, accept us like your sons and daughters. One thing is sacrosanct and we are appealing that you ceased your mandate to release a motor bit for us to manage as part of your own empowerment to the youths of NDVF”, Coordinator beseeched.

Responding to their speeches,  the Imo NURTW State Chairman, Hon.Comr.Sam Udeh (Ezeumuokorobia), commended the NDVF members for recognizing the members of the union as core unionists.

“You are highly welcome for deeming fit and necessary to honour the office of NURTW under my watch as the Imo State Chairman. I will not let you down. I will carry your organization along, yes, of course, your members from the oil-producing areas were not left out in the schemes of things in our union. But visit has reactivated my cordiality with your association”, Udeh stated.

Ezeumuokorobia while speaking, described the visit of NDVF as apt, and added that all the requests for empowerment have been granted, but charged them to remain law-abiding as good citizens of the state.

Udeh, however, assured effective synergy with the organization, and hinted that the union has the passion to ensure the progress of the government of the day.

Imo NURTW State Boss, Udeh, therefore encouraged them to always support the Shared Prosperity Government of Governor Hope Uzodinma, disclosed that the governor has recorded huge leadership breakthroughs in all ramifications, especially on infrastructural achievements which he made known to the members of the NDVF.

Udeh, in his final words, called on NDVF members to always drum support to the Shared Prosperity Government, but requested them to endeavor to vote for the re-election bids of Governor Hope in 2023.

Some of the leaders of NDVF in attendance are: ” The Organization’s Publicity Secretary, Comr.Ejike Ezinne, and so many other strong members of Imo NDVF who lauded the leadership of Imo NURTW led by the State Chairman, Sam Udeh, even as they prayed to God Almighty to continue to strengthen the union and the organization.
