Re- How Speaker Dogara’s Elder Sister Na’omi Threatened To Chase A Church Out From A Land Given To Them By The Speaker

The attention of the leadership of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) Local Church Council, Rafin Zurfi, Regional Church Council, Bauchi was drawn on the 28th March, 2017 concerning a universalreporters247.com publication of 25th March, 2017 with the above mentioned caption.

The church wants to emphatically say that we did not send any of our members to published such a report, we don’t know the source of the person’s information, the information provided is not true and figment imagination of the author of false information and the church is not a party to such a publication.

As far as we are concern, the church neither has any land dispute with the Speaker Dogara Yakubu nor his elder sister Na’omi as claimed by the universalreporters247.com.  All we know and can say is that, the church has a temporary structure for over eight (8) months now on the land of the Hon. Speaker Dogara Yakubu and nobody has ever for once threatened to remove the structure as falsely alleged by the universalreporters.

The Hon. Speaker Dogara Yakubu is the owner of the land and he is aware that the church is there temporarily pending when we secure our own land which The Speaker personally promised to assist the church.

The church is surprise to see such a publication which we consider is a mere blackmail on the side of the speaker’s elder sister who is not the owner of the land and therefore does not have control over it.  We are not happy with the whole issue and we strongly disassociate ourselves from it.  If not blackmail, how can a church want to collect somebody’s property by force?  The church has never attempted to seized any person’s property, more so that as a body of Christ, the church’s stands is to live in peace with everybody at all times.

A church is known for peace and preaches peace.  It is the duty of the church to settle erring members (reconciliation) and not to hurt them.
