The Race to Jos South /Jos East Federal Constituency of Plateau State, Hon. Simon Ciroma Dangyang of the Africa Democratic Congress, ADC, has received a significant endorsement ahead of the 2027 election, strengthening his position in the race to challenge the opposition APC, PDP, and LP.
The endorsement comes as the leadership of Plateau Unity Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited officially announced their stand to drum support to the coalition aimed at ensuring that he clinch the seat in the forthcoming general election.
Mr Choji Dada, the chairman of Plateau Unity Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited, promised to partner with Hon Simon Ciroma Dangyang throughout the electioneering campaign period to achieve meaningful progress.
He pledged his group’s support to the spirant by assuring him their willingness to help spread the good gesture of the ADC towards promoting and strengthening grassroots politics.
The organization aimed at empowering women and children, including internally displaced people in crisis-affected communities, with orphanage care.
He noted that the Plateau Unity Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd is registered with the CAC and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to improve the well-being of vulnerable persons in society who suffer disadvantage, with the sole purpose of fighting our common enemy, which is hunger.
The association Chairman harped that the main reason why the choice of Simon Ciroma was carefully considered was due to his visionary commitment to transforming the lives of citizens.
According to him, Mr Simon Ciroma Dangyang is expected to play a leading role in the emerging alliance. With growing dissatisfaction over economic challenges and governance issues, opposition leaders believe a strong coalition could significantly alter Nigeria’s political landscape in 2027.
As the race heats up, political stakeholders and citizens alike are watching closely to see how this coalition evolves and whether it can pose a formidable challenge.
Meanwhile, the Aspirant, Mr Simon Ciroma Dangyang praised the group for coming to identify with him and to work together to promote his political profile.
He said that he appreciated the importance of media in building and reshaping the political landscape, saying that without the impact of media, society would not know what is happening so he assured of partnering with them.
Simon emphasized that without the impact of the media, our benefits and the dividends of democracy can’t reach the grassroots because sometimes the media plays the opposition to checkmate the affairs of the key players.
He, however, he stressed that some practitioners compromised their media ethics, but he still has confidence to work together with the group to win the Jos East, Jos South, with the support of sundry.
The stakeholders meeting was held in Jos, and was attended by the group BOT, Joseph Emmanuel, Secretary, and Mr. Yakubu Busari, Senior Zonal Editor.
However, Simon Ciroma Dangyang was also in accompanied of Gyel Chairman and a coalition of ADC supporters.
