Prof Jega seeks Plateau govt support for the repositioning of Plateau University, Bokkos

The Chairman pro-chancellor of Plateau state University, Bokkos, Prof.Attahiru Jega has sued for the support of Plateau state government toward repositioning of Plateau state university, Bokkos to help citizens achieve their dream.

He assured of his committee readiness in revitalizing the falling standard of education and staff welfare which is a task to be   discharge effectively for the growth of the institution.

Prof. Jega disclosed this during the swearing-in ceremony of the governing board held at Government House little Rayfield , Jos .

He said, “it is with  a great pleasure for this honoured, never the less ,I promised to do my very best to change the deplorable stage of  infrastructural needs of the students and the staff of Plateau State University ,Bokkos for people of the state to benefit from it”.

He thanked the government and the good people of Plateau who accord him the opportunity to serve them in this capacity through achieving founding fathers of  the potential institution that he would contribute.

According to him, the Plateau state permanent site  was  founded on solid has been undermined by many challenges need academic with the support of host community within a short period the committee will surmount the pressure.

Prof Jega assured Governor Simon Lalong that within the reasonable time frame the institution will overcome the challenges to become one of the best in the country.

The former INEC boss, calls for understanding to guide the Vice Chancellor simultaneously address numerous problems of the staff, students and administrative need.

He called for the support from staff and students with encouragement toward revitalizing and restoration of the lost glory.

Prof Attahiru Jega reiterated his promised in discharging the task of reposition the value of lives of Plateau.

Governor Simon Lalong said he is delighted to used education to the emancipation of people of Plateau people.  The University of Bokkos has no business remaining without accreditation

Lalong said the past eight years the university have not received any support from the state government.

He explained that his government is determined and  ready According to him, the institution  will never again witness any interference with the academic  activities of the university.

The Governor reaffirmed his position to stabilize, sustained funding. He promised to implement all the far-reaching recommendation of the   decision of governing council.
